quick round up

Today is going to be one of those absolutely crazy days. Even Havi is exahusted thinking about it...

So I thought I would give you a quick round-up of some "Things I Know:"

-A sublet from April 15 - September 1 in Soho (comment below for pictures)

-A girl looking for a roommate in the LES in her 2BR apartment

Really a great read, so happy I found this author. He always looks at the most simple of lives, and shows that there is always a tint of drama. Reads too fast though.

Second Glance

by Jodi Picoult

Everyone had a negative opinion going into this book. But, if you look passed the obvious fluff of a Jodi book and the whole ghost thing. As always, it is a quick read with a lot of research, which makes it fun and credible.

Wherever You Go: A Novel

by Joan Leegant

this was a too-fast read that never resolved all its problems. it was highly unlikely and not intellectually stimulating.

All Other Nights

by Dara Horn

Took me a while to get into, then i LOVED it! Interesting way the book came full circle.

The Tenth Song: A Novel

by Naomi Ragen

a book about a family's journey. a little too fluffy at times.

by Emma Donoghue

I think this was a gripping book about a feral child and his mother. Not for the faint of heart!

This Is Where I Leave You

by Jonathan Tropper

Amazing, quick read on the intricacies of American families.

Mila 18

by Leon Uris

Second time i read this book. No one writes about the strength of the Jew better than Uris. Great read on the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.

MY LIFE

by Golda Meir

This book was a great first hand account from someone who lived through the first years of Israel as a state. Her insight and candor is endearing.

Eat, Pray, Love

by Elizabeth Gilbert

I feel that this book was a "must to read" but had a hard time getting through it and heard the same from friends. However, in the end, I believe it was worth it.
