This post fits in really well with my weekend. Maize had her yearly, and I also purchased a year worth of heart worm meds, oral rinse and tooth paste. Then I bought a 35 lb bag of dog food, portable water bowl, strap to keep her harness attached to the seat belt and rescue remedy...it was a VERY expensive weekend...buuuuh. I am embarrassed to put my total down...
ReplyDeleteI agree Froggy... new Easywalk harness, collar, and ID tag for the foster boy, food for Parker and Skye, and the vet bills... ohhh the vet bills. All I can say is I admire your ability to budget with Havi!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys are good! I've signed up for Barkingdeals.com. Looking forward to that!
ReplyDeleteSkinny Fat Kid is always trying to budget me on the dog, but I do like to spoil her! Our dogwalking is quite high but I walk for them too and help them out with other things to keep our costs down.
We're due for some more Frontline. I think Walmart.com has the cheapest I've found so far!
I haven't heard of Barkingdeals - is it like groupon for dog stuff?
ReplyDeleteI never really kept track of what I spent on my pups from month to month.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a kitty who cost me a fortune from the day I got him until the day he died. He spent an inordinate amount of time at the vet's office for various health issues. I'd hate to even think about what his annual bills.
