DS always spoke about how much he loves street food. It always grossed me out, but last year when I saw Urban Oyster has a walking tour of famous food cart and trucks, I knew we had to go on it!
We had a blast, and it led to me loving the history of food vendors as well! We frequently take Havi for a walk and attend some of our favorite vendors.
So this year, we splurged and bought tickets to the 7th Annual Vendy Awards on Governor's Island...
What a FILLING weekend!
Yum! Street food is the best! There is a Food Truck Festival in KC that just happened a couple weeks ago and from what I hear, it went really well! :) How is Miss Havi feeling?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun event.
ReplyDeleteI actually love food carts--such a great way to get diverse, hot, tasty food, and so easy to pick up a treat the dogs can share too.
ReplyDeleteOh if only we had things that like here :( Sounds like a GREAT time!
ReplyDeleteNow that looks delish!!! I hope Havi went too! hehe

What a fun event! That is such a great idea for a festival. And a great place to take the dog. I have always said there needs to be more street food in my city... Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFood trucks are being crazy popular here. I have managed to resist the Cupcake truck outside school so far. There is a new sausage one and my husband couldn't be more excited!
ReplyDeleteI could not resist the cupcake truck yesterday in nyc. We need more street vendors in PA.
